Charles Frederick Ingalls, Jr. was the fourth child of Charles and Caroline and died before turning a year old. He was the only biological son of Charles and Caroline Ingalls

Biography[]
Charles was born about 2 year after arriving in Walnut Grove and was the son Charles wanted badly. Charles adored him, making Laura jealous. He died shortly after his birth when he was not gaining any weight but eating a lot. Laura blamed herself for his death by not praying for his good health. Charles Frederick was only natural-born male child Charles and Caroline ever had the rest they adopted. Caroline goes and visits his grave at the behest of her pregnancy with Grace.
